The Lake

Steps away to a lazy day.

Nestled along the shoreline beside the historic Lover’s Rock, a private waterfront retreat awaits the families of Rock Ledge. Nearly 1,750 square feet of lakefront patio are embraced by massive natural seating stones, offering a place to settle in, gather with friends, or simply take in the view. Descend the Rock Ledge stairs directly into the shallow waters of Lake Erie for an afternoon of swimming, kayaking, or boating along the shoreline.

This isn’t borrowed access to the lake. It’s waterfront that belongs to your community, cared for without the demands of individual shoreline maintenance. A place for morning coffee, an afternoon with a favorite book, or evenings beneath the most inspiring sunsets on Catawba Island. All the pleasures of the waterfront, with nothing to do but enjoy them.

The Tunnel

Here, the Journey is part of the Destination.

On Catawba Island, the most coveted homes often sit high above Lake Erie, where dramatic cliffs and sweeping views come with a familiar compromise: reaching the water below. At Rock Ledge, we refused to accept that compromise. Beneath Sand Road, a private pedestrian tunnel is taking shape, connecting all eleven homes to their own secluded waterfront experience, without ever crossing the road.

The only residential neighborhood on Catawba Island with a private tunnel, Rock Ledge transforms the relationship between home and shoreline. A short walk, a descent beneath the road, and suddenly you’re standing at the water’s edge. No traffic to navigate. No steep shoreline to conquer. Just a beautifully simple connection between life above the lake and everything waiting below.

Access

Every Sunset.Every Season.Only Rock Ledge.

Remember the last sunset that stopped you in your tracks? The kind that made you reach for your camera, call someone over, or simply stand in awe as the sky came alive with color. We remember these moments because, for a little while, nothing else seems quite as important. And no matter how many sunsets you’ve seen, there’s always another one worth stopping for.

Now imagine having one of Catawba Island’s best vantage points to watch the sun set over Lake Erie. As the seasons change, so does the sunset’s position along the horizon, offering an ever-changing portrait from the same extraordinary place. This is what you own. A place that’s always there when you want it. No pulling over. No traffic. No crowds. Just you, the lake, and the sunset.
